Proper Mechanics
Proper mechanics is by far the single most important aspect of the game. While it is most vital to your survival on the field,
it is often the most overlooked portion of a young umpires game. It isn't enough to just study mechanics of the game, you need to practice.
Being caught out of position making a questionable call will make you look bad, but if you are in position, head locked on the play, and making
a confident determined call on the play, no one will doubt what you saw.
